A circular coil of cross-sectional area 200 cm2 and 20 turns is rotated about the vertical diameter with angular speed of 50 rad s−1 in a uniform magnetic field of magnitude 3.0 x 10 -2 T. Calculate the maximum value of the emf in the coil.
Given, area = 200 cm2 = 2 x 10-2 m2
Total number of turns,N = 20
Angular speed,ω = 50 rad s-1
Magnetic field = 3 x 10-2 T.
Maximum value of emf, emax = n ABω
= 20 x 200 x 10-4 x 3 x 10-2 x 50V
= 4 x 3 x 5 x 10-2 V
= 60 x 10-2 V = 0 6. V
