Juices for Winter

We enjoy our favourite juice mostly during summer to beat the heat of the sun and hydrate ourselves, but it becomes difficult to drink juice during winter as our body is cold and we are not in the mood to make it colder. If you love to drink different varieties of juices then there are always plenty of options, regardless of the season. Juice lovers shift from cold to warm juices which not only help them to keep their body warm, but also provide energy to carry on with their work swiftly.

Below are the list of juices that you can try during the season of winter:

1. Warm Lemon and Ginger Juice: Lemon is known for purifying blood, helps the digestive system and fights free-radicals as well. Ginger enhances immunity and works as an appetiser among others. You can start your day with a glass of warm lemon juice in winter to warm your body and gain energy.

Ingredients:

  • 2 lemons in 2 cups of warm water.
  • 1 spoon of honey.
  • 2 tbsp juice of ginger root.

2. Spice fresh juice: Spices like cardamom, cinnamon, cloves, pepper, and nutmeg are excellent for digestion and keep our bodies warm. Hence a glass of warm juice of some of these spices could be a perfect start for your day.

Ingredients:

  • A cup of spinach
  • 4 oz of Coconut water
  • 2/3 celery stalks
  • ½ teaspoon of ground cinnamon
  • ½ teaspoon of cardamom

3. Pear and Spinach Juice: Pear is a rich source of fibre and is rich in Vitamins K, B2, B3, B6 and C and so is Spinach. Spinach has magnesium, iron, copper, protein and choline. The combination of pear and spinach juice could be an excellent option to fight the early cold mornings.

Ingredients:

  • 1 medium cucumber
  • 2/3 small pears
  • A handful spinach
  • 2 celery stalks

4. Beet/Beetroot Juice: Beetroot which is also known as beet is excellent for people who play sports or are quite active throughout the day. It is good for blood circulation and lowers blood pressure among others. Beets mixed with apples and some berries make a perfect juice for winter.

Ingredients:

  • 2 beets
  • 1 cup of mixed berries
  • Leaves of cabbage
  • 1 cup of mixed berries

5. Avocado Juice: Avocado is an extremely nutritious fruit. It is a huge source of Potassium, Fatty acids and Fibre. A glass of Avocado juice mixed with coconut water, spinach and hemp seed is great for your health.

Ingredients:

  • 1/2 Avocado
  • 1 tbsp hemp seed
  • A squeeze of lime
  • Some spinach
  • 4 oz coconut water
  • 4 oz coconut milk

These are some of the best juices that you can try during winter. Obviously, there are other great juices like Green Ginger Ale, Red Hot Juice, Cinnamon Apple and Ruby Mandarin Juice that you can try as well.
