Har Ghar Tiranga Campaign – What is it, how to register, know everything

Prime Minister Narendra Modi during his monthly radio programme ‘Mann Ki Baat’ talked about the Har Ghar Tiranga initiative and urged the citizens to turn the campaign into a mass movement by hoisting or displaying the national flag in their homes and using the Tricolour on display picture of their social media accounts.

What is Har Ghar Tiranga (हर घर तिरंगा) campaign

Department of Legal Affairs, Ministry of Law & Justice, Government of India, in its extended efforts to celebrate “Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav” also initiated the “Har Ghar Tiranga” Campaign with an aim to invoke the feeling of patriotism in the hearts of the citizen and promote awareness about our national flag.

Through this campaign, the government plans to hoist the tricolour at every house in India. For this, the government has set a target of 20 crore houses. There is an appeal of the government that tricolour should be hoisted on more than 20 crore houses with public participation between August 13 and 15. This will also include government and private establishments. The administration is preparing vigorously for this campaign. Nodal officers have also been appointed for this. For this, the central government has made arrangements for the production of three types of flags. These will be available in post offices and people will be able to buy the tricolour online as well.
