The Directorate of Minorities under the Government of Karnataka<\/a> or GOKDOM aims at providing resolutions to the minorities of Karnataka i.e. Christians, Sikhs, Parses, Muslims, Buddhists and Jains.<\/span><\/p>\n

It was an initiative taken for the welfare of the backward classes or minorities back in the years 1999-2000. The goal of the initiative was to benefit the minorities by elevating their socio-economic standards.<\/span><\/p>\n

Situated in Bangalore, GOKDOM plays the role of the active agency for all the scholarship programmes being organised by the government for the betterment of the minorities.<\/span><\/p>\n

The directorate takes care of the planning, synchronisation, assessment and the implementation of the development programmes for the welfare of the students that belong to the minorities.<\/span><\/p>\n
