KVPY is sponsored by the Department of Science and Technology (DST), Govt. of India. The KVPY fellowship program was introduced in the year 1999. Its main aim is to encourage the students to take part in research careers in Science. Under this program, all the eligible students are offered scholarships and fortuity grants until the pre-Ph.D level.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Its aim is to assist the students to realize their potential and to ensure that the best research-based talent is groomed for research and development in the country. Generous fellowship and fortune grants are issued to the chosen KVPY Fellows up to the pre Ph.D. level \/ 5 years whichever is earlier.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The KVPY exam has three streams:<\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><b>SA:<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> Students who are pursuing in Science and are currently in Class 11th<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><b>SX:<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> Students who are pursuing in Science and are currently in Class 12th<\/span><\/li>\n<li style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><b>SB:<\/b><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> Scholars who are pursuing a program in Basic Science and currently are in their first year of
