RAW works directly under the Prime Minister of India. It keeps an eye on the developments of the foreign countries which can pose a threat to the security of the country.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">RAW does not hold an open recruitment process for its positions. IAS officers, IPS officers, other intelligence agencies and army officers are deputed into RAW through lateral entry tests.<\/span><\/p>\n<h4><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Intelligence_Bureau_IB\"><\/span>Intelligence Bureau (IB)<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h4>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.saralstudy.com\/blog\/intelligence-bureau-ib\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Intelligence Bureau<\/a> or IB is the Central Intelligence Agency of India. It works under the Ministry of Home Affairs, Government of India.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Selections to the intelligence bureau as an inspector are made through competitive exams of IB- ACIO (Assistant Central Intelligence Officer) conducted by the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.mha.gov.in\/en\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener noreferrer\">Ministry of Home Affairs<\/a>.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">However, selection for senior positions is made through lateral positions of IPS or Army officers.<\/span><\/p>\n<h5>Examination Pattern of IB- ACIO:<\/h5>\n<p><strong>Paper \u2013 I \u2013100 Marks (Objective Type Questions)<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> Syllabus: General Awareness, General Knowledge, Reasoning Ability, Comprehension, Mathematical Ability<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Paper \u2013 II \u2013 50 Marks (Descriptive Type Questions)<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> Syllabus: English writing skills and analytical ability.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Total Time: 1 hour 40 minutes<\/span><\/p>\n<h5>Examination Pattern of IPS Officer:<\/h5>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"><a href=\"https:\/\/upsc.gov.in\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener noreferrer\">UPSC<\/a> conducts Indian Civil Services Examination for various posts including IPS officers. The examination for IPS officers is held in 4 stages:<\/span><\/p>\n<ol>\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The preliminary exam consists of 2 objective-type questions of 400 marks.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The main exam consists of traditional descriptive-type questions in any one of the chosen subjects of 1800 marks.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The personality test consists of 275 marks. Only those candidates who pass the main exam are eligible for this test.<\/span><\/li>\n<li><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\"> Physical and medical standards test.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<h4><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Central_Bureau_of_Investigation_CBI\"><\/span>Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI)<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h4>\n<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">The <a href=\"https:\/\/www.saralstudy.com\/blog\/central-bureau-of-investigation\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">Central Bureau of Investigation<\/a> or CBI is the primary face of Indian intelligence. It works under the ambit of the Government of India.
