CBSE 10th, 12th Exams 2020: CBSE 10th exams cancelled, Class 12 students have two options, the hearing will be held again tomorrow. ICSE board hearing tomorrow at 10.30 AM

During the hearing on the petition filed by the CBSE board for conducting the remaining examinations of Class 12 and Class 10 in the Supreme Court, Solicitor General Tushar Mehta told the Supreme Court that CBSE has decided to cancel the 10th examinations to be held from 1st to 15th July and give two options to the students of 12th, which was planned to be held from July 1 to 15. For 12th students two options are:

  1. The first is that they take their result on the basis of internal assessment, and
  2. Second that after the conditions of Corona are normal, they can also choose to take the exam.

But one option has to be selected from both internal assessment and exam. The government said that on the basis of internal assessment, CBSE 12th result will be released by July 15. However, the Supreme Court asked the central government to consider giving options for exams and internal assessment to students of class X and XII. The court has sought a response from the CBSE board on this. The matter will be heard again on tomorrow i.e. 26th June.

The hearing of the ICSE board exam started after the CBSE board examination case, which has been deferred till 10.30 am tomorrow. It was also informed by the government that the ICSE board will also cancel the examinations but is not considering the option of taking the students later.

The hearing in the Supreme Court was held before a three-judge bench AM Khanwilkar, Dinesh Maheshwari and Sanjeev Khanna to cancel the remaining CBSE examinations. Now in the hearing to be held tomorrow morning, not only the ICSE board examinations will be completed, but the final decision of the board regarding the CBSE board examinations will be formally announced.

Now, the situation of ongoing disarray among students and parents regarding the remaining examinations of CBSE 10th, 12th for the last two months has ended.
