CBSE Latest News and Updates: Due to the coronavirus epidemic, all schools across the country are closed since the month of March. There has been a lot of loss of students’ education due to the long closure of schools. In order to reduce the pressure of students in view of this loss in studies, The school syllabus for class 9 to 12 has been reduced to 30 percent for the CBSE Academic Year 2020-2021. Human Resource Development Minister Ramesh Pokhriyal Nishank has informed himself about this on 7th June.

HRD minister wrote in his tweet, “Looking at the extraordinary situation prevailing in the country and the world, #CBSE was advised to revise the curriculum and reduce course load for the students of Class 9th to 12th.“ The HRD minister further said that keeping in mind the importance of learning achievement, it has been decided to reduce the syllabus by 30 percent while keeping the main concepts intact.

The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has issued clarification in the case of syllabus reductions from 9 to 12 in the academic season 2020-2021. The CBSE board claimed that in view of the current health emergency and study difficulties, the objective of rational reduction in syllabus is to reduce exam stress among students.

Recently the Council for the Indian School Certificate Examination (CISCE) Board has also reduced the syllabus of ICSE and ISC board examinations by 25 percent for the session 2020-21. Schools are closed due to the coronavirus epidemic and are not able to get the education of children properly, due to which the board has decided this. Although online classes are going on, it may not be able to study as much as it should to complete the syllabus.

The board has given information about the new syllabus at cisce.org. The board has asked schools to teach students according to this syllabus.
