Jee Advanced 2021 is a very important examination for the students who wish to get admission to IITs in India. JEE Advanced 2021 exam will be conducted in 2 sessions, Paper 1 and Paper 2. The timing of paper 1 will be 9:00 am to 12:00 pm while paper 2 will start from 2:30 pm till 5:30 pm. The conducting authority has already released the syllabus that candidates need to cover for examination. The JEE Advanced 2021 admit card will be released a week prior to the examination and the date will be released soon by the conducting authority. Joint Seat Allocation Authority will conduct the counseling session for the qualified candidates where the admission will be done based on the rank secured by the candidates. What is JEE Advanced 2021?

The JEE Advanced 2021 is a very important examination for engineering aspirants and it is conducted every year by one of the 7 IITs in India. JEE Advanced 2021 Eligibility Criteria

JEE Advanced 2021 eligibility relies for the most part upon the way that whether the candidate has cleared the JEE Main exam or not. 2. Number of Attempts

A candidate is allowed to appear for the JEE Advanced examination twice in two consecutive years.

3. Appearance in Class 12th

If a candidate has appeared for class 12th or equivalent examination in the year 2020 or 2021 is also eligible to apply for this examination.

4. Earlier Admission in IIT/ISM

  • The candidate who has already appeared in the 2018 examination is not eligible for JEE Advanced 2021.
  • If the admission of the candidate is canceled earlier by the authority, the candidate is not eligible.
  • The candidate is considered ineligible if he/she has accepted the seat earlier at reporting center or has been admitted to any IIT previously.

5. For Foreign Candidates

The Foreign candidates are not required to appear for JEE Main 2021, they can directly apply for JEE Advanced 2021 with fulfilling all the eligibility criteria.

6. Age Limit

  • Candidates born after 1st October 1996 are eligible to apply for JEE Advanced 2021.
  • Candidates born after 1st October 1991 are eligible in the case of SC, ST, and PwD category.

7. Qualification

The candidate should have qualified for class 12th or equivalent examination and should have cleared JEE Main examination as well. The minimum percentage criteria have been removed due to COVID-19 but as per norm, The candidates should have scored 75% marks to be eligible for this examination.

JEE Advanced 2021 Application Form

The application form for JEE Advanced 2021 will be available on the official website in June 2021 after the declaration of JEE Main 2021 examination result. IIT Kharagpur is responsible for conducting this examination for the year 2021. 

Step by Step JEE Advanced Application Form Filling Process

  1. To fill the Application form successfully, follow the following steps:
  2. Log in to JEE Advanced official website with your JEE Main DOB and Roll number. Fill in the additional information, if asked any.
  3. Once you have created the new password, you will be redirected to the application form page where you need to fill in details related to Personal information, academics, education, JEE Main application number, examination center, etc. 
  4. You are required to upload the scanned copies of the documents listed below:
     a. Class 10th and 12th Marksheets
     b. Photograph (Size - 10 kb to 100 kb)
     c. Left-hand thumb impression (5 kb to 30 kb)
     d. Signature (5 kb to 30 kb)
     e. Cast certificate in case of reserved categories. (50 kb to 300 kb)
  5. Now, you need to pay the Application fees through net Banking, e-wallets such as PAYTM, UPI, Debit Card, Credit Card, or SBI challan.
  6. Verify all information and submit the application form.
  7. Take the print out of the submitted application form and fees receipt for future reference.

JEE Advanced 2021 Reservation

The reservation of seat is offered to the different categories as per the rules mentioned by the Government of India.

Category Criteria
GEN-EWS 10% seats are reserved for GEN-EWS in all courses. Candidates satisfying the conditions mentioned in OM No. 20013/01/2018-BC-II on 17th January 2019 issued by the Ministry of Social justice and empowerment can avail of this benefit.
OBC-NCL

27% of seats are reserved for OBC-NCL in every course.
The candidate should be listed in the currently updated Central list of OBC (
http://www.ncbc.nic.in) otherwise, the candidate cannot avail of the reservation benefits.
The criteria for OBC-NCL will as per ruled mentioned by the Indian Government.

SC

15% seats are reserved for SC candidates in all courses.
If the candidate belongs to the casts mentioned in the central list of corresponding states issued by the Indian Government will be eligible to avail of this reservation.

ST

7.5% of seats are reserved for ST candidates in every course.
The candidate should belong to the tribed mentioned in the central list issued by the Government of India to be eligible for this reservation.

PwD

5% seats are reserved for the PwD candidates in all the categories.
Candidate with at least 40% of impairment will be eligible.
Leprosy-cured fit candidates are also eligible for avail benefits of this category.

DS Children of the Defence personnel who are killed or disabled permanently due to war.
