What’s New about NEET 2021?

NTA has asked the health ministry about conducting the NEET 2021 online instead of offline mode. There are chances that NEET can be conducted more than one time in 2021. NEET Aspirants have asked Nishank Pkhriyal about the clarity regarding the syllabus and Dates of NEET 2021, but there is still no clarification provided.

NTA announced that the NEET 2021 will follow the reduced syllabus of CBSE and on 19th January, Ramesh pokhriyal has clarified by saying that the Students will have more options to answer the questions in NEET 2021 because CBSE has reduced its syllabus for Boards by 30% but official clarification of syllabus and pattern of NEET 2021 is still awaited.

NEET 2021 will be conducted in 11 languages English, Hindi, Urdu Tamil, Gujrati, Marathi, Bengali, Telugu, Oriya, Assamese, and Kannada.

What is NEET?

NEET 2021 is expected to be conducted in the last week of June 2021 by NTA. The official notification about NEET 2021 is going to be released soon including the application form and other important details like syllabus, eligibility, exam pattern, etc. 

The release of NEET Admit card 2021 is expected to be released by the last week of April 2021. By the last week of June, It is expected that NEET 2021 answer key will be released. NEET 2021 result and cutoff are expected to be released by starting of July followed by the Counselling session.

NEET 2021 Application Form

The candidates who wish to apply for NEET 2021 need to register themselves on the official website. To complete the application process successfully, candidates are required to go through the 4 steps involved in the application process.

  • Visit the Official website ntaneet.nic.in and register on it.
  • Click on NEET Application form 2021 and fill in the necessary details asked related to your personal information, academic qualification, etc. 
  • Upload the scanned copies of the following documents:
    a. Photographs
    b. Signature
    c. Left-Thumb Impression
    d. Class 10th certificate
  • Pay the application fees online using credit card/ Debit Card/ Net banking/ E-challan/ UPI. 
  • Take the print outs of the confirmation page and fees receipt for future reference.

NEET 2021 Eligibility Criteria

Candidates who wish to apply for NEET 2021 are required to fulfill the following eligibility criteria. Candidates are advised to go through the below-mentioned eligibility criteria properly before filling the application form. 

Nationality

  • The candidate should be a citizen of India.
  • NRI candidates are also eligible.
  • Overseas Citizens of India can also apply.
  • The person with Indian origin and Foreign nationals are also considered as eligible.

Age Limit

  • The minimum eligible age of the candidate is 17 years as on 31st December 2021.
  • There is no upper age limit.

Qualification

  • Candidate must have passed class 12th or equivalent from any recognized board.
  • Candidates appearing in the class 12th examination in summer 2021 are also eligible.
  • Candidates who have qualified class 12th from open school are also eligible. 
  • Candidates must have cleared class 12th with Physics, Chemistry, and Biology or Biology as an additional subject.
  • The candidates must have cleared the qualifying examination with minimum 50% score for the general category (PwD candidates - 45% and ST, SC, and OBC- 40%)

NEET 2021 Reservation

As per Reservation criteria, the Seat will be reserved for different categories. The Reservation criteria are given below:

NEET 2021 Admit Card

It is expected that NTA will release the NEET 2021 admit card by the last week of April. The admit card will be released at least 15 days before NEET 2021 on the official website. Candidates are required to download the admit card using their registration details.

After Downloading the NEET 2021 admit card, you need to paste the passport size photograph on it and get the admit card signed by parents or Guardian.

NEET 2021 Counselling

The NEET 2021 counseling session will be conducted by the end of June. 

  1. National level counseling for MBBS and BDS admission will be conducted by the Medical Counseling Committee (MCC).
