Discuss the role of enzyme DNA ligase plays during DNA replication.
Answer
During DNA replication, the sytnthesis of a new strand of a DNA at a leading parent DNA strand is continous. However, it is discontinous at a lagging strand in the form of DNA segments. These DNA segments are known as Okazaki fragments. These fragments are later joined with the help of the enzymes DNA ligase.
