Plants show temporary and permanent wilting. Differentiate between the two. Do any of them indicate the water status of the soil?

Answer:

Temporary wilting	Permanent wilting
In this plants loss turgidity when the rate of transpiration is more than the rate of water absorption from the soil.	In this, wilting of the plant occurs permanently as the soil is unable to meet the water requirement of the plant.
It is temporary.	It is permanent.
Plants recovers normal activity.	Plant eventually dies.
