Sophie and Jansie were class-mates and friends. What were the differences between them that show up in the story?

Answer:

Sophie and Jansie has different behaviour and perspective towards the life. All the time Sophie lives in her own dream and imagination. She is not clear what she want to do in future as she changes her opinion again and again. Whereas Jansie is practical girl and well matured than Sophie. She has a clear state of mind that what she have to do in future. She tries to make a clear perspective of life to her friend to stop making big dreams after knowing the reality of their family background and financial condition and remind her that they will have to work in biscuit factory later.
