Basic Qualification For Air Hostess
You can enroll to become an Air Hostess or a Steward after 10+2, Graduation or Post Graduation. However, you need to be between 17 to 24 years and have a Height between 157-175 centimetres. Your weight must be proportional to your height and knowledge of a foreign language other than English will be an added benefit.

Future Prospects
An air steward/ stewardess can be promoted to the post of a senior flight attendant and then head attendant. Flight duties continue for about 8-10 years, after which there is an option of moving to ground duties, working as a ground hostess or training air hostesses. With an experience in the aviation sector, you can apply for jobs in hospitality. This will help you apply to a vast range of national and international chains of hotels, making it a good stepping stone to a successful carrier in the service industry. You can also take up duties at the management level in the aviation sector itself.
Air Hostess Salary in India
At the start of a career, a candidate can get an offer/package of Rs 4 lacs to Rs 8 lacs per annum. With experience one can earn up to 20 lacs per annum in future.
