Many scholarship schemes are announced by the Andhra Pradesh state government for the students. Economically Weaker Section people cannot afford their children’s education so Andhra Pradesh Government offers different schemes of scholarship. It is launched in the year 2017. It is an online portal which disburses the Pre Matric Scholarship, Post Matric Scholarship, and other scholarship schemes. Earlier, the above-mentioned schemes were implemented through the AP ePass portal. The students belonging to SC, ST, OBC, Minorities, Kapu, EBC and special students categories can avail the benefits of this scheme. Jnanabhumi Scholarship Eligibility- Who can Apply?

There is two major scholarship under Jnanabhumi Scholarship. Here we will discuss the two. Firstly, to claim Jnanabhumi scholarship one should be a permanent resident of the A.P state.

Post Matric Scholarship for S.C, S.T., B.C., Minority, Kapu, E.B.C, Special Students

  • The scholars should be enlisted at the post-matric level I.e. Grade 11 to Ph.D. level, in a recognized university.
  • An annual income of the family (S.C, S.T., Special students) must be less than Rs. 2 lacs.
  • An annual income of the family (O.B.C.) must be less than Rs. 1 lacs.
  • The annual income of the family (Minority) must be less than Rs. 1.5 lacs.

Pre Matric Scholarship for S.C, S.T, B.C, Special students

  • The scholars should be enlisted in Grade 5 to 10 for S.C, S.T, Special students.
  • The scholars should be enlisted in Grade 9 and 10 for O.B.C.
  • The candidates must score 90% in the previous exam.
  • An annual income of the family (S.C, S.T., Minority) must be less than Rs. 2 lacs.
  • An annual income of the family (O.B.C., P.W.D, Kapu, E.B.C) must be less than Rs. 1 lacs.

YSR Vidyonnathi Scheme

This scholarship scheme is provided to the students of SC, ST, BC, EBC, Minority, Kapu and Brahmin community. It is given to help them to meet their coaching expenses for civil services. Every year more than 65000 students receive this scholarship.

Ambedkar Overseas Vidyanidhi Scheme

The students should belong to SC/ST/BC/EBC/Brahmin/Kapu/Minority communities. This is given to students to pursue their higher studies from reputed universities. The family income of the candidates must not be more than 6 lacs.
