Started by the government of West Bengal, the OASIS scholarship scheme is a special program initiated for the students that belong to the minority communities (SC/ ST/OBC) of the state.

1) OASIS Pre-matric scholarship for SC category

• The interested candidates should be in standard 9th or 10th.

2) OASIS Pre-matric scholarship for ST category

• Interested candidates must be in standard 9th and 10th.
• The annual family income of the candidate must not exceed INR 200000 per annum.

3) OASIS Post-matric scholarship for SC/ ST category

• If the candidate is currently pursuing post secondary education or post matriculation from any institution in the state of West Bengal he/she is eligible for the scholarship.
• The total annual income of the interested candidate must not exceed INR 250000.

4) OASIS Post-matric scholarship for OBC category

• If the candidate is currently pursuing post secondary education or post matriculation from any institution in the state of West Bengal he/she is eligible for the scholarship.
• The family income of interested candidates should not exceed INR 1,00,000.

Step 1: Registration

• In order to register yourself with the OASIS scholarship programme, visit the official web portal of OASIS @ www.oasis.gov.in.
• Now tap on the “student registration” option that you will find in the students corner.
• Select the district in which your institution is situated.
• Now you will be required to fill all the details for the verification of your caste certificate.
• After filling the details you can click on submit.
• If you fill the form correctly you will be automatically taken to the registration page.
• Fill the spaces and then click on the submit option. You will be registered successfully.

Step 2: Login and application

• Once successfully registered you will be permitted to download your application number and password via acknowledgement slip.
• Using the given application number and password login to the portal.
• Fill out the application form without any mistakes.
• Top on the “save and proceed” option.

Step 3: Verification and locking the application form

Once you fill the application form correctly you can click on the “verify and lock” option. Once your information has been logged you will not be allowed to make any modifications to your application form.

Step 4: Print out

Now you can click on the download application form option and get a printout of the same.

Step 5: Submission

Now you will have to submit the application forms print out along with all the documents that have been mentioned above to the BDO office or to PO cum DWO/ DWO (If belongs to Municipality & corporation area).

Important Dates for OASIS Scholarship

OASIS Scholarship Renewal

Applicants who were chosen for the OASIS scholarship last year are requested to renew it this year. The steps of the scholarship renewal process are slightly different and so they have been mentioned below.

• The first step is logging in to the OASIS web portal at www.oasis.gov.in.
• When you see the “renew scholarship” option, click on it.
• Use your registered ID and password for logging in.
• In case you had wished to modify any of the already entered details, now you can. Tap on the “verify” option.
• Next, you will have to click on the “renew application” button.
• The next step is to enter your present academic qualifications.
• Once entered, you can tap on the “renew and lock” application option. You cannot make any changes once the application is locked.
• Take the printout of your application form and submit it along with all of your other necessary documents that have been mentioned above under the “Important Documents Required for Application of OASIS 2020” heading to BDO Office or to PO cum DWO/ DWO.

Regardless of which scholarship under OASIS is that they have applied for, candidates can check their OASIS scholarship status on the official website of OASIS.

• Next you will be asked to enter the details of your district application number and session.
