Punjab Scholarship Scheme

Several Scholarship schemes are introduced by the Punjab Government for the welfare of the meritorious students from grade 1 to 12, UG, PG. Punjab Government has also announced various scholarships for SC, ST, OBC students. Moreover, the private organization also conducts the state level Punjab Scholarship exams for talented scholars. The government also takes part in conducting National Level Scholarship Program such as NTSE, NMMS. This scholarship is proposed by Dr. Ambedkar Scholarship. Punjab scholarship application is open now and will close soon by November. There are Pre-Matric Scholarships, Post-Matric Scholarship, and various other scholarships under the Punjab Scholarship Scheme.

Punjab Scholarship Eligibility- Who can Apply for Punjab Scholarship?

Pre Matric Scholarship for S.C.

Students of class 9 and 10 can apply and must be of the SC category.
The annual income of family-Less than 2.5 lacs.
The applicant must not be availing any other centrally sponsored P.M.S.

Post Matric Scholarship for Scheduled Caste

This scholarship applies to the students of classes 11 and 12 and must be of the SC category.
The annual income of family-Less than 2.5lacs.
The applicant must not be availing any other centrally sponsored P.M.S.

Pre Matric Scholarship for O.B.C.

Students of class 1 to 10 can apply and must be of the OBC category.
The annual income of family-Less than Rs.50000.

Post Matric Scholarship for O.B.C.

This scholarship applies to the students of class 11 to post-doctoral level and must be of O.B.C .category.
The annual income of family-Less than 2.5 lacs.

Pre Matric Scholarship for Minority

Students of class 1 to 10 can apply and must be of Minority Category.
The annual income of family-Less than 1 lacs.
50% minimum marks in the previous exam

Post Matric Scholarship for Minority

This scholarship applies to the students of class 11 to post-doctoral level.
The annual income of family -Less than 1 lacs.
50% minimum marks in the previous exam.

National Talent Search Examination

Students of Grade 10 who have passed the NTSE exam.

Merit Cum Means for Minority

This scholarship applies to the students of class 11 to post-doctoral level.
The annual income of family -Less than 2.5 lacs.
50% minimum marks in the previous exam.

Attendance Scholarship for Primary Girl
student of B.C., E.B.C., S.C., S.T.

This scholarship is given to the girl child in primary classes.
75% of attendance is compulsory
Their parents must not be income tax payees and also they must have less than 5 acres of land.

Punjab Scholarship applications can be submitted both online and offline. Applicants can apply through Ambedkar Punjab Scholarship Portal. While some applications are accepted on the E-Punjab Portal which can be filled through respective schools.

Terms and Condition for Punjab Scholarship

  • Punjab Scholarship is available for all the candidates belonging to OBC, SC, ST, Minority category. Students are required to attach a hard copy of the xerox copy of the bank passbook with the application form.
  • Registered candidates must submit the application form in the concerned department, in person and must take the receipt.
  • Candidates should provide their effective mobile phone number, and current email ID.
  • All the details and documents produced by the candidate must be authentic and true. If the information given is found wrong, then the application form and data collected will be rejected.
  • Applications that are suspected will not be sent for scholarship and will be thrown-away at the same time.
  • Failed students are ineligible and should not apply for the Punjab scholarship.
  • Candidates who have applied for the Punjab scholarship or are going to apply are recommended not to share their details, bank account number, IFSC code, class 10th/12th roll number, password, and other sensitive information to anyone.
  • Candidates can review their status of the application at any time on the official website.
  • Candidates are required to produce their application ID and password to see scholarship status.
  • Candidates who have already enrolled in the portal have to renew the account by adding the updates. No new registration is needed.
