Resistance is the tendency of a resistor to oppose the flow of current.
R= ρl/A
R is resistance, ρ is resistivity, l is length of conductor and A is area of cross section of current carrying conductor.
It depends upon the following factors:
(a) Temperature of the conductor
(b) Cross-sectional area of the conductor
(c) Length of the conductor
(d) Material of the conductor
