Differentiate between:
a. Open circulatory system and closed circulatory system
b. Oviparous and viviparous characteristic
c. Direct development and Indirect development

Answer

a. Open circulatory system: Blood is pumped to the cells and tissues directly without the help of series of vessels.

Closed circulatory system: Blood is pumped to the cells and tissues with the help of series of vessels.

b. Oviparous: Animals which lay eggs are called oviparous. Oviparous animals or organisms look after their eggs after laying them.

Viviparous: Animals which gives birth to the young one individuals are called viviparous. They show parental care after their birth.

c. Direct development: When a larval stage is absent in the development of an organism is known as direct development.

Indirect development: When a larval stage is present in the development of organism, which do not resembles the adult.
