Fungi are cosmopolitan. Write the role of fungi in your daily life.
Fungi are found everywhere. They secrete some digestive enzymes by their cell wall into the external environment for the conversion of complex organic matter into simpler ones. They are saprobes when they obtain nourishment from dead organic matter and called parasites when they obtain nourishment from living organisms. Role of fungi in our daily life:
- Used in making antibiotics
- Some fungi cause dangerous diseases in plants and animals
- Some fungi helps in making food materials like Bread, fruits and vegetables.
